John Osborne is a seasoned product executive and fintech innovator with over a decade of leadership across some of the world's most disruptive financial technology companies. He is the founder of Bylateral, a next-generation fiat-settlement network for crypto institutions - built to bring the speed, transparency, and trust of modern infrastructure to institutional finance.

Prior to Bylateral, John held senior product leadership roles at FTX, PayPal, Afterpay and CMC Markets where he led product strategy, platform innovation, and global growth initiatives. At PayPal, he was instrumental in launching digital asset and cross-border payment solutions. At Afterpay, he helped scale the company’s “buy now, pay later” offering, ultimately contributing to its $29B acquisition by Square. At FTX, he played a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and product development of one of the fastest-growing crypto exchanges in history.

John has built and scaled products across regulated and high-growth environments, including BaaS platforms, trading systems, and embedded finance tools. His approach combines deep product insight with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance automation, and institutional-grade infrastructure.
